I’m Nina — owner, stylist, flower arranger, linen layerer and very proudly, the Loft cleaner.
My husband Rich and I moved our family back to Berry after years living in Melbourne. Rich grew up here, his family still call Berry home, and coming back always felt a little like returning to where we belonged. We’re a family of five — although our kids will happily tell you we’re actually a family of 13 once you include the dog, cat and our very happy backyard chooks.
Creating and renovating spaces has always been something Rich and I love. I tend to dream up the ideas (usually a lot of them), and Rich somehow figures out how to make them happen.
The moment we stepped inside Station Road Loft, I completely fell in love. The soaring ceilings, oversized windows and beautiful natural light made it feel instantly special. I knew it could become so much more than simply somewhere to sleep.
What followed were countless hours restoring, collecting, styling and layering until the Loft became the little world I had imagined. And I still do it today.
I prepare the Loft myself for every guest, from choosing and layering the linen to arranging the flowers and adding all those little details that make each stay feel special.
More than anything, I wanted to create the kind of place I’d want to escape to. Somewhere for slow mornings, long baths, beautiful linen, good conversations and maybe a little more indulgence than you’d allow yourself at home.
I hope that while you’re here, the Loft feels a little like home and a little like stepping into your own country fairytale.
